Far up in the sky

As a treat for my mother's birthday, we visited the Euromast.

The Euromast was designed by Rotterdam architect Mr. H.A. Maaskant and was built in honour of the Floriade, the world’s biggest flower exhibition. The inauguration ceremony was performed by then Princess Beatrix on 25 March 1960. At that point in time, the tower measured 104 metres. The following years, an increasing number of high-rise buildings were constructed in Rotterdam and broke the Euromast’s record height. In 1970 the tower was extended by a second tower including gently turning space cabin Euroscoop. At a height of 185 metres, it reset its record of being the highest construction in Rotterdam (Source:Euromast Folder 2010)

We dined at the Euromast brasserie. I had a very casual outfit on, because first we went on a boat trip in the harbor. The cool part is that you get to see where I live.
